The Lists Explained
Commerce Department Entity List
Restricts U.S. companies from exporting, re-exporting, or transferring items to listed entities without a license. Designation requires a finding that the entity poses an unacceptable risk to U.S. national security or foreign policy interests.
FCC Covered List
Identifies communications equipment and services that pose an unacceptable risk to national security. Listed companies cannot receive FCC equipment authorizations for new products.
Non-SDN Chinese Military-Industrial Complex Companies List
Prohibits U.S. persons from purchasing or selling publicly traded securities of listed companies. Based on a finding of ties to the Chinese military-industrial complex.
NDAA Section 889 Covered List
Prohibits federal agencies from procuring or using telecommunications and video surveillance equipment from listed companies. Applies to all federal contractors.
Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act Entity List
Creates a rebuttable presumption that goods produced by listed entities were made with forced labor and are inadmissible to the United States.
Specially Designated Nationals and Blocked Persons List
Blocks all property and interests in property of listed persons and entities. U.S. persons are generally prohibited from dealing with SDNs.
This database is compiled from publicly available U.S. government sources including the Commerce Department's Bureau of Industry and Security, the Federal Communications Commission, the Department of the Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control, the Department of Homeland Security, and the General Services Administration. It is intended as a reference resource and is not a substitute for legal advice.
Inclusion on a U.S. government list does not constitute a finding of wrongdoing by China Inside America. The rationale and notes fields reflect the stated basis for government action as documented in official sources. Companies may contest their designations through applicable legal processes.
